TS Assembly given instructions to all District Collectors

Hyderabad, May 16: The Chief Secretary of Telangana Government S.P. Singh has given instructions to all District Collectors at secretariat here on Monday, to complete the arrangements well in advance for the distribution of "KCR Kits" on June 2, the State formation day.

Holding a video conference with District Collectors from the Secretariat on Monday, Mr. Singh told the Collectors to make arrangements at District and Area Hospitals and Primary Health Centres so that beneficiaries could collect them without any hassle.

He stated that about 1.8 lakh pregnant women had registered themselves to avail themselves of the benefit under the scheme to be launched by Chief Minister on June 2. The Chief Secretary noted that the number of beneficiaries could go up by 20% to 30% in the next two to three months and the arrangements should be in place to meet such targets.



He explained that the pregnant women who got admitted to government hospitals for delivery would get KCR Kit and a financial assistance of Rs.12,000 in four installments for male child and Rs.13,000 for a female child.

The amount would be credited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries by linking Aadhaar. With regard to the pension to single women, also to be launched on June 2, the Chief Secretary said the last date for applying for the scheme was extended until May 21 based on the representations.
