A study published in the Journal Lancet HIV has claimed that use of less toxic drugs, better medical management, eating healthy food has resulted in life expectancy gains for people who are HIV-positive.

The Study was published after researchers conducted a variety of test in HIV patients between 1995-2015 and found that the patients who had better medical treatment have improved their life longevity by 10 years.

Doctors have concluded that an HIV-positive 20-year-old can live up to 78 years when he takes antiretroviral therapy.
