National Hydel Power Policy to come up soon

Delhi MaY 16: Central Government may soon bring out National Hydel Power policy.

we know that national hydel power policy is essential because it helps in Indias Energy Security for future.

Currently, India produces very less hydel power.

We know that India has committed to produce 175 GW of nonrenewable energy by 2022, out of which 100 Gw is solar power and 60 GW wind power 10 GW Hydel power and 5 GW nuclear power.

We know that current hydel production is 40 thousand MW,

The main objectives of this policy are

* Half of the Intrest will be borne by central government on the capital invested.

* Tax incentives will be given to investors.

* Regional pooling Authority will be developed to control the power prices.

* To improve the generation of Hydel power in the country.

* To encourage private players to invest in hydel projects.

* To make sure that projects are completed on time.

Finally, let's hope that this new policy will boost the hydel power generation.
