Amarkantak May 16: As we knew that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Madhya Pradesh here on Monday. He has participated in the concluding ceremony of the 'Namami Devi Narmada Sewa Yatra' in Anuppur district.

From this perspective, Voicing concern over the condition of rivers in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said there are many which have no water.

Pm Modi said that the "Many rivers in the country are on the map but do not have any water in them."

Presiding over the concluding ceremony of 148-day 'Namami Devi Narmade-Narmada Sewa Yatra' at Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh on Monday afternoon, where he released a booklet 'Narmada Pravah' — that contains the MP government’s plan to rejuvenate the Narmada — he termed it as a "perfect document for future vision". He suggested that the booklet should be sent to other states so that they can use for conservation of rivers.



Lauding the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government for taking up the campaign to conserve one of the country’s major lifelines, Mr Modi said the Narmada conservation roadmap prepared by the state is a “perfect document for future vision.” He asked the Madhya Pradesh government to share it with other states.

Highlighting Narmada Sewa Yatra as a historical step on the global map, he said the river had contributed to the agricultural growth of the state. He said MP can inspire other states for its success of the Swachchata Abhiyan too and refer to the selection of its 22 cities under the smart city scheme. He underlined the need for people’s participation in all such campaigns.

He also added that "The document was sent to me in advance and I had gone through it. It has the details of what is to be done, by whom, and at what time. In my opinion, it is the perfect document for future vision."
