Dharna against Dharna chowk turned violent

Hyderabad, May 16: On Monday Opposition parties had conducted the dharna against the government for moving the Dharna chowk from Indira park to city outskirts.

Dharna chowk is a common place for staging dharnas by all political parties and social organizations since decades in Hyderabad.

While all the opposition parties - including archrivals BJP and the Left - staged a protest demanding that Dharna Chowk's location not be changed, and some people are opposing the protest who are the residents of adjoining colonies and morning walkers at Indira Park staged parallel dharna demanding to shift the Dharana chowk at it created inconvenience to them every day.



When the dharna for and against the shift of the chowk was conducted, police swung into action and tried to dispel the mob. The protesting groups clashed each other and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals immediately
