Enjoy Movies and TV serials in Premium trains

NEW DELHI, MAY 15: Passengers of premium trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi will soon be able to watch their most loved TV serials and movies while traveling. The entertainment package will be available to passengers on their phones, laptops and different gadgets.

The passengers should purchase this service as railways are looking to generate more income from this arrangement. The venture will cost about Rs 25 lakh to outfit a prepared with the substance of- request arrangement, a senior railroad official said. The policy visualizes an administration contract for a tenure of 10 years.

This facility will be initially available to passengers of premium trains but later it will also be extended to more trains and stations. In the first phase All Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto and Humsafar trains will have this facility.

The official added, that 'Popular TV serials, films, and musicals will be on offer in trains to make the journey enjoyable while at the same time the Railways will also earn.' This service going to have a wide range of movies, from Bollywood and Hollywood and regional cinema as well, it said.

It will also provide a variety of TV shows that have a good viewership and many overseas serials will also be part of the offer.

This service will be available on all personal devices like smartphones, tabs, and laptops etc...

A Senior railway official who is associated with the project said, Besides video, content-on-demand will also offer radio service as an audio package in trains and stations. The audio service, however, will be available for free.
