IPS officer Laxminarayana to Telangana?

Hyderabad, May 13: Maharashtra cadre IPS officer, VV Lakshminarayana, called on the Telangana state Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma on Friday at the DGP's office.

While going to matter, Lakshminarayana’s surprise visit to the DGP office was considered important and a 30-minute-long discussion with the DGP ensued.

According to the sources, the Speculations are rife among the IPS officers that Lakshminarayana, an additional DGP rank officer, is understood to be keen to shift to TS to work here for some time on deputation.



He reportedly expressed interest in working in the state on deputation. It is also reported that the IPS officer reacted positively over police reforms being implemented in the state, especially utilisation of technology in detecting cases.

Meanwhile, During his seven-year stint in the CBI in erstwhile AP, Lakshminarayana had investigated Satyam Computer scam in which B Ramalinga Raju was accused during the 2009-10 period.
