AP High court rejected a petition filed by Telangana Police

Hyderabad, MAY 10: The High court of Telangana And Andhra Pradesh has rejected a petition filed by M Sarveshwar Reddy. We know that he is working in Telangana Police Department.

He filed a petition regarding the Implementation of Amendments made to AP public employment Act 1984 by AP government in Telangana.

He said that under Section 101 of AP Reorganisation Act a state can implement other state act when the Act was passed before the bifurcation of the state.

However, the Court disagreed with his view and said that section 101 of AP ACT clearly mentions that a state can adopt the ACT of Undivided state and can also make the modification of the Act to its need but not implement Act which was passed by another state after bifurcation.

The petitioner has requested the Telangana government to implement Ap Act because in AP the age of retirement of employees has been increased to 60 Years from 58 years but the Telangana government has not increased the retirement age.

The TS government hasn't increased the age of retirement keeping in view of the massive unemployment problem in Telangana state.

The petitioner hoped that he would get an extension to his service via high court but HC has put water on his hopes.
