Jails to be linked with courts?

NEW DELHI MAY 09: To make fast investigation faster and to reduce the Travelling charges, Prisons and Courts are going to be Connected, Central Home Department said.

Coming to details, Central Home Department ordered all the States and Union Territories to connect all the Prisons with courts through Video Conference.

Central Department Suggested that all the information about the Prisoners should be filled Online and have to attach those details to 'Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS).

The Posts In the Department of Prisons are to be filled on the Emergency basis, Home Department ordered.

They also said to Edit the names of Prisons in All states into 'Prisons and Correctional Administration'.

To Run the Prisons successfully in all states follow the Jail Manual 2016, they suggested.
