Telangana to Suspend 20 DAOs

HYDERABAD MAY 09: Government Of Telangana has taken a Principle decision to Suspend 20 DAO's (District Agriculture Officers), upon the order of Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy.

Coming to Details, After the formation of new districts in the state, Joint Director of Agriculture (JDA) posts were named as District Agricultural Officer (DAO).

Still, DAO's are taking Liabilities, as district Incharges. As there is no cadre as JDA some Deputy Directors (DD), and Assistant Directors (AD) are appointed as DAO's according to their Seniority.

But even the districts were formed still 20 members are not showing their efficiency and some complaints are also coming to the view of Collector's.

2, 3 DAO's went on Vacation by knowing about the Complaints given to Collectors. Some DAO's are asking their Higher authorities to transfer them due to the pressure of Collectors.

Another 3 DAO's who are working efficiently are also asking for Transfer, according to the source.

Meanwhile, they are planning to appoint the junior officers in their place. But there is concern over the oppositions to this decision.
