CM KCR to seek health profiles of each District

Hyderabad, May 05: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has sent the instructions to the health officials on Thursday, to prepare health profile of each district in the State.

The Health department should have a fair assessment of which area will face which type of disease during a particular season, the Chief Minister said during a review meeting of Health, Medical and Family Welfare in the State.

There is a need to spread awareness among the people about various ailments like swine flu, sun strokes, malaria and cholera, he said.

"In certain areas, there will be a large number of cases of filaria. Therefore, it becomes very important to spread awareness on this among the local people so that they have a better understanding of the ailment," he said.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of pre-warning public about an ailment that would hit their area in the near future.

"Since the government is spending large funds and improving the facilities at government hospitals, the Medical and Health departments should strive harder to work for the poor," he said.

Before spreading awareness, health authorities should impart training to medical staff frequently and upgrade their skills. He also enquired about the status of KCR Kits and directed officials to implement the scheme effectively.
