CM KCR launched Vajra Service

Hyderabad May 05: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been launched "Vajra buses" here on Thursday.

While going to matter, This an innovative and first of its kind in the country inter-district service of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) which has to pick up and drop off passengers at their chosen location as its USP.

flagging off the service at Pragathi Bhavan CM KCR said that "We are taking the first step in launching Vajra service. This kind of service is not offered by any other RTC in the country. The 21-seater air-conditioned bus will ply between Hyderabad and Nizamabad and Hyderabad and Warangal. Instead of passengers going to Imlibun or Jubilee Bust stations, there will be four or five lighting points in the city,"

He also added that the service would be extended if the response was good, The Chief Minister said that "I urge the Transport Minister and TSRTC Chairman to see if the buses can pick up and drop passengers from different places if there is demand. Vajra bus service should also ply to Karimnagar." Pointing out that one-third of Telangana population was on the wheels of TSRTC, he said corporation services are a social obligation to the society and emphasised the need to make TSRTC a profit-making organisation as well as the best service provider.
