Villagers to get e-Panchayats

Hyderabad, May 04: Here is good news for villagers, who were struggling to pay the bills, while standing in front of offices.

Now paying taxes, bills,availing pensions and obtaining birth and death certificates can be done in a short duration of time. Not just in the State capital but even in remote villages of Telangana as well.

The e-Panchayat initiative taken up by the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, these services henceforth will be easy to access.The government has set August 15 as the deadline for all the 8,838 villages to go digital.

Jupally Krishna Rao, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, said that the e-Panchayats would help people in their daily life and that they will not have to run after the officials for payment of bills or obtaining certificates from now on.

It helps in several ways. Villagers can approach Gram Panchayats for all their documentary needs. They will get all the documents the same day at nominal charges.To make the system transparent we are also planning to include names and work chart of contractors.
