Man Held for posting obscene videos of girls

Mumbai May 04: A man has been arrested by the Cyber cell of Mumbai crime Branch on Wednesday for allegedly uploading obscene videos of some girls on a website.

Coming to matter, A 26-year-old youth from Nanded was arrested by the police and identifying them as students of a medical college staying at a civic body-run hostel.

The person has identified as Vijay Gulabsingh Rathod (26) a resident of Nanded, uploaded the videos on April 21 and even named the hostel the girls stayed in. The videos went viral in a few hours.

"Under every video, he wrote that the girls are students of a particular dental college and are staying at the hostel. The incident was noticed by one of the doctors of the college, who immediately informed the authorities. A complaint was lodged with Nagpada police," said a senior officer from the Mumbai Crime Branch.

however, The Nagpada police transferred the case to the Cyber Cell that traced the IP address of the computer from where the videos were posted. It led them to Rathod.

Meanwhile, Police said that Rathod was a dropout from the same dental college. "We are enquiring from where he got the videos of the girls and whether they are original or morphed," said an officer from the Cyber Cell.
