Mumbai May 03: Nowadays the craze of Selfie's is extremely high, everyone is ready to take a selfie in any particular situation. It may be sometimes dangerous to our lives.Here is the news that a woman has been died due to a selfie.

Coming to matter An Engineering student from Tamil Nadu has died when taking a selfie with her sister and mother at Mumbai. Meenakshi Priya Rajesh after completing her final year B.Tech Exams she visited Mumbai along with her Parents and sibling on 30th April.

Meenakshi's family was staying in a hotel at SakiNaka in Andheri. Meenakshi and her family visited several places in Mumbai and ended up at Bandra fort. 'Meenakshi said she wanted to take a selfie with her mother and sister with the sea in the background at the edge of a rocky patch. While taking selfie due to waves she had slipped and drowned in the sea.

The incident took place around 3.30pm on Monday near Bandra Fort, the police said. Her body was located near Bandra-Worli sea link and was found after 2 hours with the help of local fishermen and fire brigade officials.

A sign board has been put up on the spot by the Mumbai police where the incident took place.

The police were informed about the incident by the local officials and an emergency ambulance was called to the spot. Later she was then taken to Bhabha Hospital and doctor declared that she was dead,” said an officer.

Accidental Death Report was registered by The Bandra police.
