TS-EAMCET received 2,20,070 Applications

Hyderabad, May 03: The TS-EAMCET had received the 2,20,070 registrations from the candidates for the academic year 2017, which was announced by the board of Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS-EAMCET) 2017.

Of the total applications, 1,41,054 were for the engineering stream and 79013 for Agriculture and Medical stream (AM). About 5766 applications from Tirupati, 14085 from Vijayawada and 6363 from Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh were received TS-EAMCET.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad which has been entrusted with the task of conducting the entrance test has constituted 246 test centers for engineering and 154 for AM.

In Andhra Pradesh, five test centers in Tirupati, 11 in Vijayawada and three in Visakhapatnam have been arranged.

The entrance test will be held on May 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for engineering stream and from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. for AM stream.

Even this year, candidates will not be allowed into the examination hall if they are late by one minute. They will be permitted into the examination hall one hour before the commencement of the entrance test.

The university has barred carrying calculator, mathematical/log tables, pagers, cell phones, watches, any other electronic gadgets and a loose sheet of paper into the examination hall.

At the time of examination, the candidates have to enroll themselves with biometric data failing which his/her candidature will be rejected.
