Indian Cities says yes to Swacch Bharath Mission

NewDelhi MAY 3: We all know that Clean India Mission (Swacch Bharath ) was launched by PM on OCT 2 2014.

We also know that the Mission must be completed by Mathama Gandhi's 150th Birth anniversary (OCT 2 2 2019).

We are all promoting the mission in a very big way but what about the results on the ground.

Do you want to know whether the Cities improved their performance in cleanliness record compared to last year then read this.

We all know that Ministry of Urban Development in the month of January and February has conducted Swacch Sarvekshan 2017 survey.

The main aim of this survey was

*To know up to what extent the cities cleanliness has
improved compared to last year.

*To get an idea of which city needs help in different areas such as solid waste management, upgradationUse of public gradation of DustBins.



*To make cities compete with each other.

*To get public opinion and their role in keeping their city clean.

The Results of the Survey area are as follows

* 82 % people said that more dust bins are kept in
cities, the infrastructure has been updated.

* In 404 cities 75 % people say that their cleanliness
in surrounding areas improved.

* 185 city railway stations are 100 % clean.

* In 227 cities the vacant post lying in municipalities
is below 10 %.

Finally, survey says that Cities are competing hard to make themselves India's No1 clean city.
