Prabhas wax statue is ready at Madame Tussauds

Hyderabad May 02: Young Rebel Star Prabhas is the first south Indian hero to have a wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds.

Prabhas's statue has been unveiled in the Bangkok museum and will soon be toured all over the world. Now, this is a proud moment for not only the Bahubali team but also the entire South Indian film industry.

Having starred in 'Baahubali: The Beginning' (2015) movie and now 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion', the Telugu actor has established himself as a pan-Indian superstar. It's not merely his macho on-screen presence but also his humble personality that made him the most searched actors on Google. Madame Tussauds' Bangkok is pleased to be welcoming his statue into the ranks of influential Indian figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Narendra Modi. People have long been asking the question of why South stars haven't featured in the list of Indian celebs at the museum yet but we hope that Prabhas' entry will open gates for other actors.

Last year, Prabhas had a sitting with the artists in Hyderabad, where 350 photos and measurements were taken. He is depicted as his character Amarendra Baahubali in his battle armor at the Bangkok museum. During his sitting, Prabhas said, "I am really happy to have been selected by Madame Tussauds' and I think this was only possible because of fans. I am grateful for their unconditional love and support. I am also thankful to my guru, SS Rajamouli, for the opportunity to work on this fantastic project Baahubali."

Other Indian actors to have their wax statue at Madame Tussauds are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Katrina Kaif and Anil Kapoor.
