Congress leader Ponguleti stressed on KCR comments

Hyderabad, April 29: The CLP leaders are planning to boycott State Assembly special session of land acquisition bill, which is to be held on Sunday.

In-depth into matter, The protest against the 'derogatory' language used by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao against the party leaders during his speech at Warangal public meeting on Thursday.

Addressing to the media, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) had convened an emergency meeting of party legislators on Saturday to discuss the issue and take a final decision.

The Uttam Kumar said that the CLP will take opinion of all MLAs on the issue. He said it was unfortunate that the Chief Minister had, of late, been resorting to a personal verbal attack against Congress leaders.

Earlier, The deputy CLP leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy is learnt to have spoken to the TPCC president about it and expressed his view that the party should strongly register its protest against the language being used by the Chief Minister and if needed, they should boycott the special session.

Sudhakar Reddy said they would not attend the special Assembly session if Rao does not withdraw his remarks. Madhu Yashki said Congress will publish a book to expose alleged corruption in TRS government

The congress MLAs would discuss the issue elaborately in the meeting. Ponguleti on Friday said the Congress was thinking whether to attend the special Assembly session to be held on April 30 even after Chandrasekhar Rao used words like 'Daddammalu' and 'Chavatalu', during his speech in Warangal.

Meanwhile, condemning Chandrasekhar Rao for describing Congress leaders as 'Daddammalu , Sannasulu, Chavatalu' at the Warangal public meeting, former Minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy said Chandrasekhar Rao was talking as if Telangana State had become a reality only because of him.
