Schools warned for violating Summer vacation circular

Hyderabad, April 23: The education department had called up schools found conducting classes in violation of a department of school education circular declaring summer holidays from April 20.

According to the DSE officials, various schools, especially those affiliated to CBSE, functioned as the usual forcing of staff to issue a warning.

"Even now, if any school is found operating, parents can message us and we will take action," said Ramesh, district education officer, Hyderabad.They haven't issued any notices to schools yet.

Teachers association complained that some corporate schools made them work for the full day even in summer and requested the authorities to take action against school managements.

"When teachers question the management, they mentally harass them," said S Yashwanth of Telangana Private Teacher's Forum.

On Wednesday, The Office of DSE declared summer vacations for private and government schools from April 20. As per the circular, schools should remain closed until June 11.
