Nizamabad won the National Award

Nizamabad, April 22: Telangana has once again shined. The collector from Nizamabad bags the national award for Excellence in Public Administration here on Saturday.

While going to matter, Collector Yogita Rana on Friday received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration. The award was given to her as a recognition of her work in successfully implementing the e-NAM system at Nizamabad market yard.

Yogita Rana and Sangaiah, the Nizamabad Market Committee Secretary, received the awards from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

She said that, I will dedicate this award to the entire farmers,she also added that, with the help of CM KCR and Harish rao only I get this award.she added.



The Centre introduced the e-NAM system in various market yards across the country to stop mediators from purchasing agricultural products from farmers. In Telangana, in the first phase, the system was introduced in Malakpet, Warangal, Bagepally, Trimulgherry and Nizamabad market yards.

Transactions worth Rs 70 crore have been recorded by the Nizamabad market committee in the first quarter after the installation of e-NAM. Agricultural products such as turmeric, soya bean, maize, Aamchur and vegetables are being purchased at Nizamabad market yard.

The award was given after consideration by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and the Department of Administrative Affairs and Public Grievances.
