Congress failed in affordable housing to Indians : Naidu

New Delhi April 21: Urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu had angered on the opposition party for failing the affordable housing to Indians here on Thursday.

He stated that the ruling BJP party has done more to provide affordable housing to Indians in two years than what UPA could achieve in 10 years of its rule.

According to the Union minister, the govt has approved 17.73 lakh affordable houses in 2008 cities after came into power, where congress govt had sanction only 13.82 lakh houses fro 1061 cities in the 10 years.

Naidu also saying that the Centre has done all it could do, and now it is up to the administrative expertise and political will to get the plans to action.

Union Minister said that state govt has to ensure a way forward so that the scheme can provide housing for all poor people in urban areas by 2022.
