TS Govt to issue the online permissions to hospitals

Hyderabad, April 20: The Telangana government has decided to introduce a new system of online permissions for the establishment of hospitals and diagnostic centers.

It will be a part of its move to introduce various reforms under the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) parameters fixed by the World Bank.

"The all Private hospitals and chemists can now apply online for permission as a single window under the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval & Self Certification System (TS-iPass)," said M Ramani, director, medical education.

According to the officials, this is being planned as EODB rankings will focus on the health sector and facilitate easy permissions. The whole Information relating to drugs and chemists and even applications will be integrated into the online forum. "This will reduce a lot of time and permissions can be monitored at various levels online," said an official.

All the processes are expected to be completed by June as the state hopes to top the EODB ranking this year as well. As of now, hospitals and diagnostic centres need to physically apply for various permissions like building and fire NOCs.
