GHMC set to plant the 1 crore saplings

Hyderabad, April 20: The Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) B Janardhan Reddy has appealed all the government departments on Wednesday.
He also stated that the Non-Governmental Organizations(NGO)s to be prepared and join hands with the civic body in taking up Telangana Haritha Haram program well in advance and reach the target of the planting 1 crore plantation for this year.
The Commissioner directed all the zonal and deputy commissioners to conduct meetings with all the departments and voluntary bodies to assign targets and ensure good results. He wanted them to accord top priority on the survival rate of the saplings.
Additional Commissioner of Police Shiva Prasad stressed on ensuring survival rate for the saplings and assured maximum help, support, and service from the police department.
