A wife killed herself, Due to harassment

Hyderabad, April 19: A 24-year-old housewife has ended her life due to daily harassment from her husband at Hayathnagar on Monday.

The victim Bhargavi was the wife of Chiranjeevi, a DCM van driver from Gowrelly in Hayathnagar.

In 2010, Chiranjeevi married Bhargavi and they have three children. Chiranjeevi took 50,000 from his in-laws in 2014 and purchased a DCM van after the marriage by obtaining 4 lakh bank loan.

Later, Chiranjeevi got addicted to alcohol and became irregular for work. Due to his irresponsible behavior, Chiranjeevi could not pay the loan and the bank seized his vehicle.

The family ended up in financial problems. To run the family, Bhargavi decided to do the laundry at select houses in the locality. But Chiranjeevi was against it.

On Monday, Chiranjeevi thrashed his wife while he was drunk and after he left the house, Bhargavi set herself ablaze with kerosene.
