B.Tech student held for sending abusive messages to Girl

Hyderabad, April 18: The Police have arrested a 22-year-old B Tech student, who allegedly threatened a girl of terrible consequences and sent abusive messages on Facebook after she rejected his proposal here on Monday.

According to the police, Vishnu Vardhan, a resident of Maruthi Nagar in Karmanghat, and a B Tech third year student in a private engineering college in Adibatla was harassing the girl for the last two months after she rejected his proposal.

According to a complaint lodged by the girl's parents, Vishnu was sending messages to her on Facebook forcing her to accept his proposal. Despite being warned several times, he didn't change his behaviour and continued stalking her through Facebook. He also threatened her with dire consequences.

Based on the complaint given, a case was registered and he was arrested. He was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody on Monday, according to P Kasi Reddy, Inspector, LB Nagar.
