Man rejected, She committed suicide

Nennel April 17: A 20-year-old girl ended life by consuming poison as she was depressed after her lover turned her down at Dubbapalli village in Nennel Mandal on Saturday night.

The incident came to light on Sunday.

Police officials said that the woman was identified as Lavanya, a native of Gopalpur village in Hajipur Mandal. Her lover has been identified as Arka Sagar, a native of Dubbapalli village in Nennal Mandal.

Lavanya resorted to the drastic step as her lover refused to marry her. They lived together, after falling in love, at Dubbapalli for a period of six months. However, he expressed his disinterest to marry her, when she brought up the topic of marriage, said a source.
