Hyderabadi Citizens facing severe heat

Hyderabad April 17: Hyderabad Citizens has been facing severe heat as abnormal range increases in mercury levels on Sunday. Many of the cities in Telugu states had registered the 44-degree mark.

While going to matter, at a time when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are witnessing an abnormal rise in mercury levels.On Sunday, the capital (Hyderabad) registered 42.4 degrees Celsius as against the normal of 38.4 degrees. While the hottest district was Adilabad which recorded 44.4 degrees, close on heels was Nizamabad with 44 degrees and Ramagundam with 43.4.

The high temperatures recorded because a weather system over the east-central Bay of Bengal, is sapping away available moisture in the air, which could have had a cooling effect on land-mass, say officials from IMD, Hyderabad.

Experts from Skymet Weather say the increase in evaporation of moisture will lead to drying of land and may result in the increase of temperature levels in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
