Man committed suicide

Hyderabad April 16: Unable to bear harassment from financiers, a 51-year-old person, who had taken 22 lakh loan from his business partners, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his residence at Alwal.

Police have booked a case against his business partners KSD Prasad and Srinivas.

Alwal police said V Ramesh Babu, a resident of Temple Alwal, alleged in his suicide note that Prasad and Srinivas were responsible for this death as they were putting pressure on him to return the 22 lakh loan, which he had taken at an interest of 5% per month. While taking the loan, Ramesh had pledged his land and given his property documents to the duo.

Ramesh, in the suicide note, asked police to take action against the two. Ramesh said that a few years ago, he took money at 5% interest and had been paying interest promptly.

But he was not able to return the principal amount.As a result, the two were putting pressure on Ramesh to return the money as Srinivas wanted to pay the college fee of his daughter, who is pursuing MBBS.

Unable to bear the pressure, Ramesh committed suicide. Besides Prasad and Srinivas, he also mentioned the names of several other financiers, whom according to Ramesh, were harassing several loanees by charging exorbitant interest rates.
