IPL bet: Police seized 3.8 lakh

In-depth into matter, Acting on a tip-off, East Zone Task Force police arrested Gajanand Upadhya and Sandeep Tak from a house at Osmanshah in Afzalgunj for organizing betting on the IPL match between KKR and KXIP. Eight cell phones were also seized from the accused. Two other accused, Banti Bai of Delhi and Laddu Kachava of King Koti, are absconding.

Police said that Gajanand and Sandeep have been organizing IPL betting with a small group of punters over cell phones.

The accused men along with the seized material were later handed over to Afzalgunj police for further investigation.
