Revanth Reddy Official Letter to KCR

Hyderabad, April 13: The Telangana working President of TDP Revanth reddy has demanded that the TRS government have to clear the doubts on the proposed legislation for enhancing reservation for Muslims and scheduled tribes to 12%.

In an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, TDP legislature party leader A. Revanth Reddy recalled the government’s claims that it would strive for implementation of reservation on the lines of Tamil Nadu.

The govt of Tamil Nadu had taken several measures to give legal sanctity to the enhanced quota taking the population and other factors into consideration.

But the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao-led government had not appointed any special officers nor deputed an official team to study the model implemented by the Tamil Nadu government.

Quoting figures, TDP leader said the reservations being provided in Tamil Nadu was based on the population of 2001. On that basis, BCs are getting 30 per cent reservation as they are 46.14% in population, 20% to MBCs as against their population of 20.87%, 10% reservation to SCs as against 19% population, one percent to STs on their population of 1.04 percent.
