Rs.10,000 reward, who helps in finding Chain snatchers

Hyderabad, April 7: As we know that, The crime category of chain snatchers has become a serious problem, especially in metropolitan cities. Most of the people were being turned into victims of chain snatching.

To curb the crime of chain snatching, the Cyberabad Police has taken new decision to catch those culprits on Thursday.

They have announced a cash reward of Rs.10,000 to the persons, who help the police for nabbing two chain-snatching criminals

According to Madhapur DCP Vishwa Prasad, two unidentified persons had snatched gold ornaments from two elderly women two days ago.

"These two incidents has occurred under the Kukatpally and KPHB police station limits," he said.

Police are observing the case 'very seriously' as both the incidents had happened within half an hour, that too, in nearby areas. They believe the same persons were behind the offenses.

"The first incident took place in Kukatpally at 9.10Am, and the second incident was in KPHB around 9.35Am," the DCP said, adding that one of the suspects had identified a mole under his right eye.

The police have obtained CCTV footage as well from the site where the duo had struck and are investigating.
