An IES officer held for assaulting a girl Student

New Delhi, April 5: As we have seen that, The women assaulted cases by some higher officials have raised excessively in previous months.

Here is another official has done the same thing, who was an Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a Jawaharlal Nehru University student on Tuesday.

While coming to details, The accused was named as Rakesh Meena,26, was arrested on Monday night in south Delhi after the victim registered a complaint against him, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chinmoy Biswal told media.

He is employed as an Assistant Executive Engineer in the department of Road and Transport Ministry in Transport, and Highways.



The victim girl student, 22, a resident of south Delhi, told in her complaint that the accused had been sexually assaulting her since 2012 when she was a minor and had also threatened to kill her, police officials said.

The accused has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act for abusing and sexual assault, police added.
