Komatireddy fired on Telangana government

Hyderabad, March 25: Nalgonda Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy fired on KCR government for promises made during the election campaign.

Komatireddy posed a question to Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy on the need to set up a super specialty hospital and medical college in Nalgonda.

While seeking explanation, he read the news reports published in vernacular and an English newspaper about the assurances made by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao.

Taking objection to this, Legislative Affairs Minister T. Harish Rao pointed out to Jana Reddy that he had spoken about ethics and rules to be followed during question hour by members, but Komatireddy was reading news reports and this was not permitted in the House.

Taken aback, the Leader of Opposition appealed to Komatireddy not to read news reports and put his question straight and seek clarifications accordingly.
