Another 5000 English medium Schools will come soon

Hyderabad, March 24: As we knew that, Most of the parents are preferred to English medium only rather than Telugu medium education for their children.

Hence, The Deputy Chief Minister and educational Minister of Telangana Kadiyam Srihari has decided to improve educational standards in government schools.

He said the English medium of education would be introduced up to class V in another 5,000 schools during 2017-18 in addition to 5,400 schools where it was already introduced this year.

Presently, English medium is being provided in about 5,000 government schools. Answering to a question raised by R Krishnaiah (TDP), Srihari, on the suggestion of the members said that Anganwadi centers would be utilized for kindergarten, play school, and nursery which will be synchronized with nearby government primary schools for their admission.

He told the House that the government would ensure that at least one functional toilet for boys and girls each was available with running water by June 15 this year in every school across the State.

On recruitment of teachers, Mr. Srihari told the House that recruitment of 8,792 teachers for government schools and 7,600 teachers for residential schools would be completed by the Telangana State Public Services Commission (TSPSC) at least in the next six months.
