Family-Tokens in all Passport seva Kendras

Hyderabad, March 19: As we know that, A Mega Passport mela had been conducted from March 11 to 17 for Railway employees at Railway Degree College, Tarnaka, Secunderabad.Here is another good news for them.

Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad, has announced a new facility 'Family Token' for the convenience of family members applying for passport services.

Speaking at an exclusive passport mela organized for the railway employees here on Saturday, the Regional Passport Officer E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy said the passport applications were presently being processed at different time slots as per online appointment schedules leading to long waiting hours for family.

With the new facility, members of the same family, who otherwise used to get different time slots and had to wait for one another, can now avail walk-in 'Family Tokens' at all the Passport Seva Kendras under the jurisdiction of the Regional Passport Office-Hyderabad, for submission and processing of their applications at a single go.

As part of Ministry of External Affairs drive to simplify the passport application process and provide services in a timely, transparent and user-friendly manner, the Regional Passport Office has been conducting exclusive melas on weekends for the convenience of government employees and other citizens, according to a press release.

The passport mela for railway employees organised at Begumpet, Ameerpet and Tolichowk, with more than 5,500 applications registering on Saturday, was the largest such mela organised on a single day.
