MIM pulls off query marathon on RTC operations

Hyderabad March 19: MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi's exhaustive list of supplementary questions during the question hour created some tense moments during the legislative assembly session here on Saturday.

Mr.owaisi listed question if the public transport system is not sufficient to meet the present demand of commuters in GHMC was answered in the negative by the minister P.mahender reddy, who also denied the charge that many buses are running after completion of average life span.

Piqued by the monosyllabic replies, Mr.Owaisi expressed disappointment and shot off a series of supplementary questions in a row, which took considerable time during the limited question hour.

He sought to know the average lifespan of each bus, total number of buses in each category,total kinds of buses in the city,their respective age, the number of private buses hired by TSRTC, and their age, the number of bus shelters,the number of new buses purchased in the last two years...
