SSC exams starts from today

Hyderabad, March 17: SSC exams are going to start from today, already OSSC exams are started on 14 but only 207 students have attended the exam.

All arrangements are in place for the SSC examinations scheduled to commence from March 17 across 57 centres, District Education Officer (DEO) Ravikant said.

As many as 11,099 students will appear for the exam to be supervised by 550 invigilators. They include 115 chief superintendents and additional officers. The exams will be conducted from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and will conclude on March 30.

The DEO said the State government is considering the conducting of SSC exams as prestigious and the exams were being conducted only in government schools.

The District Collector has allocated Rs 27 lakh for providing water supply and installation of fans and tube lights and other facilities at the examination centres.



Ravikant disclosed that the government would pay bus charges for students, whose SSC exam centres are five km away from their residences. Arrangements have been made to ensure that the headmasters of the schools would pay the amount.

The DEO said students from far-off places could write the exam convenient to them at Kasturba schools and SW hostels. Rooms have been allotted for them with all facilities. These students could stay there till all the exams are completed.

The RTC would run special buses to interior areas for the benefit of students. An ANM would be deployed at each SSC exam centre to provide medical aid to the candidates, if needed.

Ravikant advised the students not to be tense during the exam, as it would result in wastage of time. He told them to attempt easy questions first and write remaining questions later.



Rules to be followed:

1) Exam starts at 9:30 AM and students will be allowed into the exam centre by 8:45 AM.

2) If the student is late for 5 minutes for some reasons he will be allowed to write the exam.

3) If any student is committing for malpractice then he will be booked under the section of
25/97.
