No increase in TAX : Commissioner

Hyderabad, March 10: Telangana state Commercial Taxes Commissioner, V Anil Kumar today clarified that there are no plans to increase VAT on dining.Commissioner of Commercial Taxes has clarified that the State government is neither contemplating nor has taken any decision to increase Value Added Tax on dining from 14.5 per cent to 24.5 per cent.Commissioner V. Anil Kumar in a release said a section of the media reported about an impending hike in VAT on dining. Such reports would create confusion, he said."This kind of reports create confusion among the public and bring the government disrepute", he added.
