Police warned the Youth on midnight rides

Hyderabad, March 09: In general, Most of the youth likes to roaming on the roads at night time.It was a great feeling of fun enjoying with friends.Now, this thing will becoming a chance for robberies and crimes etc.However, The Police has decided to tighten the patrolling security in the night time and released some strict rules also.Cracking the whip against those roaming on the roads post-midnight in the Old City areas, the South Zone police took 162 youths, including 15 minors, into custody during the Chabutra operation conducted between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Wednesday. They were later counseled along with their parents by the police.According to V. Satyanarayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), south zone, 25 teams were formed for the operation, and youngsters roaming on the streets were picked up in the areas of Charminar, Khilwath Teegalkunta, Jangammet, Engine Bowli, Chandrayangutta, Talabkatta.They were found causing disturbances in localities, forming groups and getting involved in petty crimes, he added.In a separate Cordon and Search operation conducted in the North Zone police limits headed by DCP B. Sumathi, officials took 35 persons with suspect contacts into custody and seized 40 vehicles under the Tukaram Gate PS limits.A total of 490 houses were searched at Addagutta along with the help of about 100 community members, said Ms. Sumathi in a press release on Tuesday.
