GHMC officials conducted a Convergence conference

Hyderabad, March 09: The GHMC officials have been planned to put the details of dangerous fire accidents in summer, sink areas in Rainy season and several highway details on the website to create the awareness in Public.The number of steps to be taken and issues to be addressed for the upcoming summer and monsoon season were discussed at a convergence meeting held here on Wednesday.Officials belonging to the GHMC, Cyberabad Police, Hyderabad and Rangareddy Collectorates, Traffic Police and others participated in the meeting. The Fire Department officials were asked to be on high alert due to the increase in the incidents of fie accidents during summer.The GHMC officials said that 27 water-logging areas were identified out of which 12 areas were cleared of the problem and the issue will be resolved in the remaining 15 areas, said Municipal Commissioner of B. Janardhan Reddy during a PowerPoint presentation. The officials decided to take precautionary measures well in advance to tackle the emergency situations which may arise in the near future.Issues related to unauthorized constructions, road widening, issue of building permissions, identifying of lands for double bed room scheme were also discussed during the meeting.
