TRS party nominations

Hyderabad, March 8: The three candidates for the TRS party members on Tuesday filed their nomination for election to the Legislative Council from the MLAs constituency.They are as follows Alimineti Krishna Reddy, Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao, and V. Gangadhar Goud respectively.As theirs were the only nominations to be filed to fill three vacancies at the expiry of deadline on the day, they would be formally elected unopposed on March 10, the last day for withdrawals. Ministers K.T. Rama Rao, Nayini Narasimha Reddy, T. Padma Rao and P. Mahender Reddy were among those who were present with the candidates when they submitted the papers to the Legislature Secretary at the Assembly.Earlier, they walked into the Assembly premises in a group after paying tributes to the Telangana martyrs memorial across the road.Speaking to media persons after the formalities were completed, Mr. Narasimha Reddy said the strength of the TRS in the Council would be further bolstered by the victory of these candidates.Mr. Hanumantha Rao said he was one of those who had believed that separate Telangana would never be a reality. But, TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao made it possible.Therefore, he would strive to strengthen the party till the last. Mr. Krishna Reddy attributed earning the ticket to the affection of the Chief Minister on the former s younger brother and former Home Minister Madhava Reddy.
