New Delhi March 2: The 16-year-old Indian-American girl, based in East Brunswick, New Jersey in the United States of America, has left several marks of her own in education, elocution and charity work. She has won accolades from across the US for her splendid oratory skills by speaking on several topics.Sucharitha Reddy, the only daughter of Patlolla Mohan Reddy, studying 10th Class at the Hun School of Princeton, launched a social service organisation — the Help Bridge Foundation — in 2014 in the US with an idea to promote education and literacy among the poor girl students in her ancestral village Nemli and surrounding villages.Soon, she raised 5,000 US dollars (nearly Rs. 6 lakh) by opening a booth during the TANA (Telugu Association of North America) bi-annual convention in Atlanta.With the money, she donated Rs. 1 lakh to build a library for girls at Nemli of Birkur mandal last year.She also gave away cash awards each of Rs. 10,000 to 16 girl children who showed merit in the SSC examinations in four mandals of Kamareddy district. The cheques were distributed by the Minister for Agriculture Pocharam Srinivas Reddy at a function held recently at Nemli.The child has the gift of the gab and made very good impression with her speeches on several fora. She participated in the debate of middle-school national forensic league and debate association competition in Kansas city in 2014. She also participated in Congressional debate in 2014 and 2015 nationals, is the finalist in 2014 and 2015 in middle school national Congressional tournament.She was placed 7th at the Ridge Invitational for Congressional Debate; quarter finalist in Harvard speech and debate competition for Congressional debate; quarter finalist in Yale University speech and debate competition for Congressional debate; in March, 2016 emerged Second at Bridge Water Invitation for Congressional debate.
