Telangana has high expectations on Railways budgets

Hyderabad, February 1: Telangana and Greater Hyderabad citizens are have great expectations from the Union government on allotment of funds for speeding up works on extension of MMTS railway line up to Yadadri, a project very dear to CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.Another major project which is crucial to decongest the existing three railway terminals in Greater Hyderabad is the construction of a new terminal at Cherlapalli for which only Rs.10 lakh were given in the last rail budget. Likewise, the people of Andhra Pradesh have high hopes on the allocation for laying of railway line to connect the new capital city of Amaravati from Guntur. The survey has been completed and funds are required to start the works.With hopes of getting special category status fading, people in AP are expecting that the central government would at least bestow the residuary state of AP with the much deserving railway zone for Visakhapatnam.
