According to a well-placed source in YSRCP, 8 of Telugu Desam Party MLAs are staying away from the party after the election.
Rumors are rife that these 8 MLAs might be leaving TDP and join in the ruling party, YSRC very soon.
However, these MLAs should resign their posts if they wish to join YSRCP as said by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
YSRCP forces are confident that their party will become an unstoppable force in Andhra Pradesh if these MLAs leave Telugu Desam and join them.
That said, Chandrababu Naidu is a seasoned politician and he simply wouldn't let this happen. The TDP chief is expected to get in touch with these MLAs and persuade them to stay with the party, at least for now.
TDP currently has 23 MLAs and the party needs to have at least 18 MLAs on its side if it is to be considered as the opposition party in Andhra Pradesh.
