The YSRCP government has called for reverse tendering in Polavaram project and related works were carried out recently. The state government stated that they could save Rs 628 crores through reverse tendering.
However, the TDP leaders have been breathing fire on YS Jagan-led govt, saying reverse tendering is a big scam. They are claiming that a single company 'Megha Engineering' took part in the bidding and that is raising a few doubts.
Incidentally, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao came in support of YS Jagan in this tough time.
"Reverse tendering is a good concept. The state government can save public money by calling for reverse tenders if they feel that the previous government committed a few mistakes while calling for tenders. There is nothing wrong in going for reverse tendering. This is a dynamic move," KCR said.
Well, KCR caught the attention of national media by completing Kaleshwaram project in record time. His comments on Polavaram project certainly carry some prominence.
