Rs.1981cr to polavaram

New Delhi December 26 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu received a cheque from NABARD (The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) for the construction of Polavaram Project. The cheque worth of Rs.1981cr is the 1st installment of proposed loan to the project. Union Minister for water resources Uma Bharti who handed over the cheque said that it is for the first time in Indian history that NABARD is funding for irrigation projects. Union Minister Arun Jaitley who was also present,more help for Andhra Pradesh development and told that Government of India is giving top priority to irrigation projects. AP CM thanked the Union Government for the assistance in the construction of Polavaram project.
