New Zealand won the toss and has opted to bat

New Zealand has won the toss and has opted to bat in the second T20 match of three-match series. Both the team have gone with the same playing eleven.

"We were looking to bowl first anyway. I know we lost the last game, but chasing has been our strength. We have spoken about what we need to do with bat and ball. Hopefully, we can get a win today. We just need to do the right things and do them consistently. We discussed what went wrong in the last game. Hopefully, we won't repeat them. We are playing the same team, Indian Captain Rohit Sharma said

Kane Williamson said after winning the toss "We are going to bat. Usually a good batting surface here. It's always a great opportunity to play against India. We are up against one of the strongest teams in world cricket. Same team for us today. It was one of those days where people come and perform their role and it comes off. We know it doesn't happen day in day out (talking about the first T20I). We were really good in the last game. Hopefully, we can keep making strides in that direction."

Pitch seemed good for the batting as there was no grass cover and the ball could grip for the spinners.
