Sarfraz Ahmed to be the captain for WC2019

After all the speculation of the captaincy of Pakistan cricket team, it has been confirmed that Sarfraz Ahmed will remain the captain of the team at least till World Cup 2019.

"There should be no doubt that Sarfaraz is the Pakistan cricket team's captain. He will lead the team in the series against Australia and also in the World Cup," the PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said in the press conference in Lahore. Mani added Sarfraz is an integral part of the team and has only improved with the time. Mani also insisted that he was always clear in his mind about the captaincy.

Sarfraz Ahmed Was also present at the press conference and said he is very grateful to board for having faith in him and allowing him to lead the team once again. He also added he does not think about the future much and takes one series at a time. But, nevertheless, it would be a very proud moment to lead the team in the World Cup. We will try our best to win the trophy.

Sarfaraz currently is facing a ban after a comment he uttered during the second ODI against South Africa.Sarfaraz has been captain in 35 of his 101 ODI appearances dismissing 121 batsmen behind the wickets. As captain, he has won 21 matches.
