One of our worst performances with the bat: India Stand in Skipper

Hamilton, Jan 31: It is the well-known news that, India s shambolic display with the bat in the fourth ODI against New Zealand was at the center of their biggest loss in the 50-over format in terms of deliveries to spare.

Making his displeasure felt with the kind of application displayed by the top order, stand-in skipper and hit man Rohit Sharma termed it as one of India s "worst performances with the bat in a long, long time".

Electing to field,New Zealand Fast Bowler pacer Trent Boult s five wicket haul and Colin de Grandhomme s disciplined bowling wreaked havoc in India s batting line-up to bowl them out for 92.

Despite having a long batting line-up, India failed miserably as only two batsmen—Shikhar Dhawan (13) and Hardik Pandya (16)—managed to reach double digits.

"One of our worst performances with the bat in a long, long time. Something we didn t expect. You got to give credit to the NZ bowlers," Rohit said after the match.
